Played similarly to ball golf, disc golfers throw specialized discs from a tee to advance toward a “hole” (baskets). Typically played in 9 or 18 holes, the lowest number of throws wins the round. People of all ages can enjoy this activity. With its increasing popularity, more courses are being built in our region. Now is a great time to try it out for yourself on WLD Ranch’s 9 hole disc golf course.

If you are new to disc golf or want to learn some fundamental skills, this Disc Golf Basics clinic is for you. The class is open to adults and youth (ages 12 and older). The lead instructors are avid players on staff at WLD Ranch (Joseph Preston and Reilly Melin).

Either session (Monday or Tuesday) can be a stand-alone intro to disc golf. In this 2 hour program, we will cover basics of throwing (backhand, forehand) and run some putting and driving drills, as well as play our 9 hole course.

You also have the option to come for both sessions. For those who attend both sessions, the second session will focus on additional techniques (hyzer and anhyzer shots, overhead shots) and approach shots, as well as playing the course.

WLD Ranch will supply discs for use during the class.
