For Emergency personnel to locate your home in the fastest response time, your house number should be clearly visible on the front of your house, at the road and/or your mailbox.  Night time visibility is crucial.  The more assistance you give them, the quicker they can come to your aid, if and when needed.  Check your house to see how easily the number can be seen as though you were that emergency worker, then make any necessary improvements ASAP.
